CURA CEO Named ’40 Under 40′ Honoree by the Tampa Bay Business Journal

For more than two decades, the Tampa Bay Business Journal has been dedicated to celebrating the outstanding achievements of young professionals who are leaving an indelible mark on the local business landscape. This year, CURA’s CEO, Alex Critcher, joined these illustrious ranks, being named a 2023 40 Under 40 honoree.

The 40 Under 40 initiative acknowledges individuals who have not only excelled in their respective industries but have also demonstrated a commitment to their communities. A panel of judges reviewed a vast pool of nominations to identify honorees who embody the essence of business success, career advancement, community engagement, leadership, and influence.

“In total, we received an impressive 400 nominations, resulting in an extensive compilation of nearly 250 comprehensive application packets encompassing over 2,000 pages of submission materials for our esteemed judging panel to assess,” remarked Ian Anderson, Market President and Publisher of the Business Journal. “While the selection process is not a precise science, it centers around the nominee’s sphere of influence and their capacity to make a meaningful impact.” The judges evaluated the nominee’s influence within their organizations, the size and trajectory of their workplaces, and the economic contributions stemming from their leadership. Additional considerations included endorsements from prominent business figures within the Tampa Bay area and the honorees’ contributions to their broader community.

“While no single criterion is determinative, these factors collectively provide our judges with valuable insights into a nominee’s ability to lead and assemble teams, grow a business, adapt, innovate, secure financing, navigate legislative challenges, and persevere,” Anderson continued. “Ultimately, the crux of our selection process for the 40 Under 40 is rooted in recognizing the lasting impact these honorees have made on our business community, encapsulating the true essence of their influence.”
